CBSE Class 11 Science Chapter List 2026-27: Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology

Class 11 is where the Science stream gets serious. The jump from Class 10 is the biggest in school: more chapters, more maths inside physics and chemistry, and almost everything is a foundation for Class 12 and for JEE or NEET. Students who treat Class 11 as a "light" year usually spend Class 12 catching up on it.

Here is every chapter, in the order the NCERT books teach them.

Class 11 Physics: all 14 chapters

Mechanics (chapters 2 to 7) is the base of the whole of physics. Rotational motion is the chapter most students find hardest; give it extra time.

Class 11 Chemistry: all 9 chapters

Mole concept (chapter 1) is used in every numerical you will ever do in chemistry. Organic basics (chapter 8) decide how easy Class 12 organic chemistry feels.

Class 11 Maths: all 14 chapters

Class 11 Biology: all 19 chapters

Nineteen chapters is a lot of facts. Flashcards are the fastest way to keep the classification and human physiology chapters from fading by the end of the year.

How to study these chapters

Keep up week by week. Class 11 chapters are long and build on each other. Falling two chapters behind in physics or maths is much harder to recover from than in Class 10.

Do the exercise numericals yourself. In Physics, Chemistry and Maths, reading a worked solution is not the same as being able to do it. Attempt each NCERT question first and only then compare.

Think of Class 12. Every chapter here returns next year, in the board exam or in an entrance test. The time you spend understanding Class 11 properly is time you will not need later.

Everything in one place

Each chapter linked above has its own page on Kedovo with the resources published for it: chapter notes (every subject except Maths), step-by-step NCERT solutions, flashcards, extra questions with model answers, MCQs, assertion and reason questions and case study questions, plus an AI tutor that already knows which chapter you are on. Chapter notes are free to read without an account.
