CBSE Class 12 Commerce Chapter List 2026-27: Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics
Class 12 Commerce has three core subjects and six books between them. Accountancy is split into partnership accounts and company accounts, Business Studies into management and business finance, and Economics into two separate books, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
Here is every chapter, book by book.
Accountancy Part 1: Partnership Accounts
- Accounting for Partnership: Basic Concepts
- Reconstitution of a Partnership Firm: Admission of a Partner
- Reconstitution of a Partnership Firm: Retirement/Death of a Partner
- Dissolution of Partnership Firm
Accountancy Part 2: Company Accounts and Analysis of Financial Statements
- Accounting for Share Capital
- Issue and Redemption of Debentures
- Financial Statements of a Company
- Analysis of Financial Statements
- Accounting Ratios
- Cash Flow Statement
Partnership accounts carry a large share of the marks. Admission and retirement problems repeat the same few adjustments (goodwill, revaluation, capital), so practise them until the format is automatic.

Economics: Introductory Microeconomics

Commerce and Humanities study the same two Economics books, so on Kedovo these chapters live in one place and both streams use the same pages.
How to study these chapters
Accountancy is a practice subject. Read the concept once, then solve problems. Most marks are lost on format and small adjustments, not on understanding, and only repetition fixes that.
Business Studies rewards structure. Answers are marked on the points the textbook lists. Learn each chapter's principles, functions and features as headings, then practise writing them up for case-based questions.
Draw the Economics diagrams. Microeconomics questions often turn on a correctly labelled curve. Practise drawing each one from memory until you can explain what shifts it and why.
Everything in one place
Each chapter linked above has its own page on Kedovo with the resources published for it: chapter notes (every subject except Maths), step-by-step NCERT solutions, flashcards, extra questions with model answers, MCQs, assertion and reason questions and case study questions, plus an AI tutor that already knows which chapter you are on. Chapter notes are free to read without an account.
